inspiration
Like most brides, I had a very specific vision on how I wanted our wedding to look and feel. Being a bride who was also a designer, I was most excited to design the wedding invitation suite of my dreams.
I wanted the suite to exude sophistication and timelessness with a touch of whimsy. Dreaming of an elegant garden party, I also knew I wanted feminine florals and organic growing greens to be heavily incorporated. Upon finding the perfect wedding dress, that encompassed all of these qualities, I knew I had my base of inspiration. The dress had exquisite floral embroidered appliqués cascading down the length of the dress. I began to break this imagery down in sketches and included additional illustrations of irises, seeded eucalyptus, dusty miller, and panicle hydrangeas.
monogram
When developing our save the dates, I wanted to channel the same organic and free-flowing energy into a monogram that could potentially be utilized later within the wedding branding.
After several rounds of sketches, I settled on an interpretation of a lowercase "g".

save the dates
The entire wedding suite followed a strict monochromatic color palette comprised of a range of sage and earthy greens, ivories, and metallic gold accents.
invitation suite
When developing the invitation suite, I knew I wanted to use letterpress to carry the design into a tactile experience. Each of the three elements were set up so that not only the main design (in green ink) was letterpressed, but also that other details (in magenta) were blind letterpressed.

candle and matchbox favors
The favors for our guests were hand poured soy candle tins and matchboxes made by GP Candle Co.
I designed the labels by including the monogram from the save the date and the floral elements from the invitation suite.

place cards
Place cards were handmade using the same paper stock as the envelopes used in the invitation suite. Gold metallic foil was applied to the floral elements on each card by use of a heat laminator.
